The cats have taken over — and they’re glorious. The 2026 Cats Countdown Club celebrates the joy, mayhem, and undeniable charm of our furry overlords. These cats don’t just nap on your project bag; they own it.

Prepare for twelve days of mischief, mayhem, and meow-nificent surprises featuring cats who chase, climb, pounce, and occasionally knock your knitting right off the table. Every one of them is bursting with personality, fluff, and just enough attitude to keep you entertained through the last row.

Here’s what to expect:

🐾 A delightfully chaotic theme:
You’ll receive 12 individually wrapped surprises, each introducing a unique cat character with its own backstory — the ladybug chaiser, the sunbeam snoozer, the midnight zoomer, and the one who definitely “helps” with blocking. 

🎁 Flexible unboxing fun:
Open one each day from June 1–12 for a daily dose of feline fun — or stretch it out monthly, one cat at a time. Either way, prepare for the occasional surprise paw print on your heart (and possibly on your project bag).

________________________________________________________________________________________________The carry-all tote bag is a black cat inspired, roomy, mid sized project bag measuring at least 8 inches high, 9 inches long, and 4 inches wide. It has a square bottom, sturdy straps, and six exterior pockets perfect for your phone, keys, or extras. It easily fits a three skein project and works beautifully for shawls, cowls, hats, mittens, or a few smaller projects all at once.

The equator-sized project bag is a black cat inspired zippered bag made from 100 percent cotton with light, supportive interfacing. It measures about 8 inches high, 12 inches wide, and 4 inches deep, making it durable yet lightweight. Perfect for three skeins of yarn, it easily fits shawls, cowls, hats, and mitten projects.

The previewed day-to-day project bag is an exclusive to AdoreKnit fabric, featuring the knitting gnomes pictured.  This zippered bag, designed to keep your projects and needles secure, measures at least 8” high, 10” wide at the top, with a 6” by 4” rectangular bottom. Perfect for two-skein projects like socks or small shawls, and the exciting part is that it will match at least one of the progress markers included in the club.

The skein of yarn included will be a fingering weight, enough to make a pair of socks. The indie dyer will be a surprise, just like in our past clubs. Prior years we've teamed up with Leading Men Fiber Arts, Olive & Two Ewes, Fibernymph Dyeworks, Hue Loco, Sunsoaked Yarns and others, to create an exclusive colorway, and this year’s skein is certain to be just  as special!

The additional notions pouch coordinates with the project bag and yarn. It measures at least 5” high and 5” wide, with fabrics matching the project bags. This envelope-style pouch fits a darning needle case, measuring tape, stitch marker container, and a few other essentials.
