A couple years ago, we stumbled across some science-themed fabric and made a major discovery: knitters and scientist are basically the same! Turns out, there's a huge chunk of the knitting community that absolutely loves science! (Not quite as big as our gnome-loving crowd, but honestly? Way bigger than we expected!) Which begs the question...

💡 We love patterns – Whether it’s a super pretty lace shawl or the double helix of DNA, we’re alllll about those patterns! Science peeps and stitchers both geek out over symmetry and structure.

🧪 We experiment constantly – Knitting a new design? Testing a new theory? Same vibe. Swatching is basically a lab test in yarn form.

📊 We track everything – Row counts, stitch math, calculating decreases? Yes please. If you love equations and geometry, you’re already halfway to being a knitter. From Ravelry projects to lab data, we’re talking next-level organization.

🧶 We teach and share – Whether it’s explaining how a nucleus works or demonstrating how to K2tog, knitters and scientists love breaking things down for others. There’s so much joy in sharing a new stitch pattern or geeking out over a cool science fact—it’s all about passing on the knowledge with passion and enthusiasm!.

💖 And we’re total nerds—in the best way possible. We’re talkin' TARDIS socks, periodic table project bags, DNA cable scarves—knit science is where the aesthetic meets the intellect.
