š§¬š§¶ What do Knitters and Sciencists have in common?

A couple years ago, we stumbled across some science-themed fabric and made aĀ majorĀ discovery:Ā knitters and scientist are basically the same!Ā Turns out, there's a huge chunk of the knitting community that absolutelyĀ lovesĀ science! (Not quite as big as our gnome-loving crowd, but honestly? Way bigger than we expected!) Which begs the question...
š§¬š§¶ What do Knitters and Sciencists have in common?
š”Ā We love patternsĀ ā Whether itās a super pretty lace shawl or the double helix of DNA, weāre alllll about those patterns! Science peeps and stitchers both geek out over symmetry and structure.
š§Ŗ We experiment constantlyĀ ā Knitting a new design? Testing a new theory? Same vibe. Swatching is basically a lab test in yarn form.
šĀ We trackĀ everythingĀ ā Row counts, stitch math, calculating decreases? Yes please. If you love equations and geometry, youāre already halfway to being a knitter. From Ravelry projects to lab data, weāre talking next-level organization.
š§¶Ā We teach and shareĀ ā Whether itās explaining how a nucleus works or demonstrating how to K2tog, knitters and scientistsĀ loveĀ breaking things down for others. Thereās so much joy in sharing a new stitch pattern or geeking out over a cool science factāitās all about passing on the knowledge with passion and enthusiasm!.
šĀ And weāre total nerdsāin the best way possible. Weāre talkin' TARDIS socks, periodic table project bags, DNA cable scarvesāknit science is where the aesthetic meets the intellect.
So yeah⦠our Science of Stitches Collection was basically inevitable.
